The short answer

For paid-plan users working with eligible standard comic models, the first 10 panel Redraw operations within each comic are free (0 credits). The counter applies to the comic artwork as a whole, not ten redraws for every panel or page.

This is not a blanket rule for every model, plan, editor, or AI editing operation.

Current redraw eligibility

Free plan + ordinary redraw100 credits / redrawNo ten-redraw free allowance
Certain premium Pro image-to-image models600 credits / redrawExcluded from the first-ten free allowance

These rules apply to the Comic Studio panel-redraw action in the current eligible workflow. Other AI image edits, character images, video work, upscale requests, or regenerations elsewhere in the product can follow different pricing rules. Always confirm the live cost before generating.

Example: 20 pages, 4 panels per page

Imagine a 20-page comic containing 80 panels:

  • Generate all 80 comic panels at the default Comic Auto Model rate (150 credits per panel): 12,000 credits for the initial illustrations.
  • Review the 80 generated panels and identify ten that need changes.
  • On a paid plan and if this comic's selected redraw model qualifies, the first ten redraw operations cost 0 credits.
  • An eleventh eligible standard-model redraw would cost 100 credits under the current policy.

This budget does not include covers, character/image asset generations, other AI edits, or standalone exports with their own rules. A premium-model redraw can be billed even if no eligible free redraw has been used.

How do I redraw a single panel?

  1. Open the original comic in Comic Studio.
  2. Select the panel you want to correct and choose Redraw.
  3. Keep the existing character and scene details you want to preserve; modify only the problem.
  4. Check the model and current credit cost in the product, then submit.
  5. Review the result before deciding whether another redraw is necessary.

A redraw may alter details outside the one thing you requested; review the full panel. See Redraw one panel without changing the rest of your comic for the exact steps.

Redraw vs manual text editing

Correcting an editable speech bubble's text is not the same as generating another image. If the error is just the spelling or bubble placement, edit the existing object instead of spending a redraw.

If the lettering is part of the image itself, a paid or free-eligible image redraw may be needed. See Fix speech bubbles and reading order.

Comparison with full-page image workflows

Some AI comic tools render a whole multi-panel page as one image. LlamaGen generates comic panels as separate units, so a local correction can be limited to the affected panel rather than requiring you to replace all the other panels.

This difference makes revision control and cost after edits worth comparing, not just initial credits. It does not mean LlamaGen is always cheaper: when a page contains several panels, default comic generation can cost more than a competing service's whole-page render.

Where to check your credits and find help

Check Usage for actual deductions. If a redraw that should have been eligible appears charged, save your comic artwork ID, plan status, model name, count of previous redraws, screenshot, and timestamp; contact support.
