Troubleshooting

Generation is stuck or failed

Check service status, preserve the project ID, identify the failed stage, and retry safely.

Time: 5–10 minutes for the initial checks. Do not submit the same paid action repeatedly while its status is unknown.

1. Check whether LlamaGen is currently affected

Open LlamaGen service status. If an incident matches the product or generation stage, keep your project URL and wait for the incident update before retrying.

2. Record what actually failed

Before refreshing, copy the project URL. For Comic Studio this usually contains the artwork ID. Also record:

  • the exact error text;
  • whether the page says queued, generating, failed, or completed;
  • which step failed, such as story, character, panel, image, export, or video;
  • the local time and time zone;
  • the browser and device.

3. Check whether the job completed in the background

Open the project list or reopen the saved project URL once. If the project shows a completed result, review it before starting another generation. A browser timeout does not always mean the server-side job failed.

4. Retry safely

If the status page is clear and the project still shows a failure:

  1. Refresh the project once.
  2. Confirm that uploaded references are still present and accessible.
  3. Remove unsupported or unnecessary inputs reported by the error.
  4. Retry the failed step once. For a single bad panel, use Redraw on that panel instead of regenerating the whole project.

Do not create many duplicate jobs to test whether the first one is running. This makes credit and support review harder.

Error-specific branches

The page stays on queued or generating

Keep the project ID and check service status. Reopen the project once from the project list. If the same state remains after the related service is healthy, contact support with the time the job started.

The page shows a generation failure

Keep the exact message. Check the inputs named in the error, then retry once. If the same request fails again, do not keep changing unrelated settings; send the reproducible case to support.

The browser lost connection or closed

Sign in again with the same account and reopen the project list. If the project exists, continue from it. If it does not exist, provide the approximate submission time and account email to support.

Credits changed

Use Generation failed but credits were deducted. Some product flows can display an explicit refund result, but do not assume that every failed action follows the same credit path.
