Time: About 10–20 minutes for a short first draft. Generation time varies with the selected workflow and current service load.

This guide takes you through one complete loop: start a project, generate a short comic, review the result, make one focused correction, and download a copy.

Before you start

Prepare:

  • a short premise or script;
  • the names and stable visual details of recurring characters;
  • any reference images you have permission to use;
  • the intended reading format, such as a comic page or comic strip.

Do not upload confidential material or images you do not have permission to use.

Desktop web

  1. Open AI Comic Strips and sign in.
  2. Choose the starting option shown for your project, then enter the premise, script, or requested story details.
  3. Add recurring characters before generation when the workflow offers character setup. Keep names, hair, clothing, age, and other identifying details consistent.
  4. Review the story, character, style, layout, and dialogue inputs shown before starting generation.
  5. Start generation and keep the project tab available while the job begins. You may work in another tab after the project has an ID, but do not submit the same action repeatedly.
  6. Review every generated panel at full size. Check character identity, hands, props, text, speaker assignment, panel order, and continuity.
  7. To correct one image, select the panel and use Redraw. Change only the prompt details needed for that panel.
  8. Open Download and choose one of the formats available to your project and plan. Download options can include a comic image collection or screenplay files; other workspaces expose different formats.

Mobile web

  1. Open the same project route and sign in with the same account.
  2. Create and generate a short project using the controls shown in the mobile layout.
  3. Tap a panel to review its available actions. Use Redraw only when the panel control is visible.
  4. If an editing or export control is not available on the smaller layout, reopen the same project on desktop rather than creating a duplicate project.

What a successful result looks like

You should have a project URL with an artwork ID, a completed set of panels, and at least one downloaded file that opens correctly outside LlamaGen. Keep the project URL until your final delivery is verified.
