Scene Breakdown
Structuring your story into manageable scenes
Scene Breakdown
A Scene Breakdown is the skeleton of your story. It lists every scene in order, providing a roadmap for the screenplay generation.
Creating a Breakdown
You can create a breakdown in two ways:
- AI Generated: Provide a story synopsis, and let the AI figure out the scenes.
- Manual Entry: Manually add scene cards.
Scene Card Details
Each item in the breakdown typically contains:
- Scene Number: The sequential order.
- Slugline: Location and Time (e.g., EXT. PARK - DAY).
- Summary: A one-sentence description of what happens in the scene.
Editing the Breakdown
- Reorder: Drag and drop scenes to change the sequence.
- Add/Delete: Insert new scenes or remove unnecessary ones.
- Refine: Edit the summary to guide the AI more precisely during screenplay generation.
