How generation costs work in Storyboard AI

Credits & Billing

Generating AI content requires credits. Understanding how they are consumed helps you manage your usage.

Cost Breakdown

  • Screenplay Generation: Typically costs a small amount of credits or is included in the base plan.
  • Image Generation: Each generated image consumes credits. High-resolution or complex generations might cost more.
  • Video Generation: Converting shots to video is a more intensive process and consumes significantly more credits than images. Cost is often calculated based on the duration of the video (e.g., per second).
  • Redrawing: Each redraw counts as a new generation.

Checking Balance

You can check your current credit balance in the Account Settings or usually in the top navigation bar.

Insufficient Credits

If you run out of credits:

  1. Generation tasks will fail or be paused.
  2. You will receive a notification prompting you to top up or upgrade your plan.
  3. Existing assets remain accessible, but new content cannot be created.

Tip: Use the "Draft" or "Preview" modes (if available) to save credits before committing to high-quality final generations.
