Character Management
One of the biggest challenges in AI storyboarding is keeping characters consistent. Storyboard AI provides dedicated tools to solve this.
Creating Characters
You can define the main cast of your story.
- Go to the Characters section (usually accessible via a modal or sidebar).
- Click Add Character.
- Name: Give your character a name.
- Description: Describe their appearance (e.g., "A young woman with blue hair, wearing a red jacket").
- Reference Image: Upload a reference image if you have one, or let the AI generate one based on your description.
Art Styles
To ensure a unified look, you can define an Art Style for your characters and the entire project.
- Preset Styles: Choose from a variety of styles like Anime, Cinematic, Sketch, etc.
- Custom Style: Describe a specific visual style (e.g., "Cyberpunk noir, neon lighting").
Consistency Guide
When generating shots, the AI uses your defined characters to ensure they look the same in every frame.
- Face Consistency: The AI prioritizes facial features to keep the identity recognizable.
- Outfit Consistency: Descriptions of clothing help maintain wardrobe continuity.
Tip: Detailed character descriptions yield better consistency results. Mention specific features like hairstyles, accessories, and clothing colors.
